V-LOCK®

Do V-LOCK Lids require electrical bonding/earthing to meet Electrical Safety regulations?

No. V-LOCK®’s reinforced polymer construction is non-conductive, which means earthing/bonding is NOT required.

Will V-LOCK® lids rust, corrode or tea-stain?

No. V-LOCK®’s polymer will not corrode in any way, even in harsh pool water environments. The polymer is specially formulated for superior UV stability, providing long-term strength, rigidity, and resistance to weathering.

What is range of inlay thickness that V-LOCK® Lids can accommodate? (eg. tile, stone, concrete)

From 8mm up to 42mm can be accommodated across the 5 models in the V-LOCK® range.

Do V-LOCK® Lids meet Australian Safety Standards?

V-LOCK® lids are engineered to meet all applicable Australian safety standards. The unique locking mechanism ensures compliance with “child-resistant” requirements without relying on the weight of lid.

Do V-LOCK® Lids come in different sizes?

The V-LOCK® range includes three ‘footprint sizes’, available in multiple depths to suit various inlay types:

  • V-SERIES – Fits most Australian skimmers.
  • S-SERIES – Suits small access applications (e.g. fibreglass hydrostatic standpipes).
  • M-SERIES – Ideal for intermediate applications such as compact skimmers.

Can I order a custom size V-LOCK® Lid?

No. Unfortunately due to manufacturing process we can only supply lids in sizes stated.

Do V-LOCK® Lids come in other colours?

As V-LOCK®’s lid is specially formulated to provide optimal strength, performance and durability we are only able to offer it in single colour – Cement Grey.

Can I retro-fit a V-LOCK® lid over an existing skimmer?

Yes. Visit the product page or Trade Support section on this website to find Installation Guides or videos explaining retro-fit installation process.

Is there a V-LOCK® Lid to suit poured ‘seamless edge ’ concrete surrounds?

Yes. The V-LOCK® V40 (Product # 475-231) is designed for wet-pour concrete pool surrounds with a range of features to simplify setup, pouring and finishing in this style of installation.

I have lost my V-LOCK® Lid Key. Can I purchase a replacement key?

Yes. Replacement V-LOCK®’s Lid keys can be easily purchased from your local AQUEA stockist.

Are the short (standard) and long (Dual Key) interchangeable?

No, Standard Keys and Dual Keys are not interchangeable.

  • Single Key Lids can only be operated with Standard Keys.
  • Dual Key Lids require the longer Dual Keys for operation.

BUBBLER+

How many nozzles can I have in my air loop system?

The number of nozzles (ports) that can be included in an air loop depends on several factors, including; Depth below the water surface, Distance from the pool to the blower and Blower output.

Can the BUBBLER+ nozzles be installed on a vertical pool wall, or must they be positioned on a horizontal surface like the floor or seat top?

Yes. BUBBLER+ can be configurated to suit both horizontal and vertical orientation to suit your preferred design.

Can I use multiple kits to build air loops with more than 18 nozzles?

Yes, the BUBBLER+ system is designed to be modular, allowing multiple kits to be linked together to create air loops with as many nozzles as can be safely supported by your selected blower and plumbing configuration.

I have changed my mind on pool interior and need a different colour nozzle than originally supplied in kit. Can you help?

Certainly. Any of the four different coloured nozzles can be purchased separately in packs of 18 if you change your mind or lose original nozzles.

Is BUBBLER+ suitable for both tiled or pebble pool interior finishes?

Yes, the BUBBLER+ system can be installed in pools with either tiled or rendered pebble interior finishes.

MAIN DRAIN

Can I use the AQUEA Main Drain as a suction point?

No. AQUEA Main Drains designed for Hydrostatic relief only and are NOT APPROVED FOR USE AS SUCTION OUTLETS and must not be connected to the pool recirculation system.

Is the AQUEA Main Drain suitable for both tiled or pebble pool interior finishes?

Yes, the AQUEA Main Drain can be installed in pools with either tiled or rendered pebble interior finishes.

How do I ensure central lozenge shaped opening runs parallel to my tile grout lines?

The top face of the Pebble Rim flange has two alignment marks. When installing over the Main Drain niche, line up these marks with the tile grout lines to ensure the lid closes in the correct position.

How do I open a AQUEA Main Drain?

Use the AQUEA Main Drain key (blue) to safely open the lid and avoid damage. Insert the key into the two central openings on the lid, then rotate it anti-clockwise to unlock before lifting.

How often should my Hydrostatic Valve be inspected/replaced?

As a pool industry best practice, hydrostatic valves should be inspected every 12 months for damage, leaks, and proper operation. Replace the valve if any issues are found.

I am doing a pool renovation, can I fit your flush-fit lid to my existing main drain before re-tiling/pebbling pool interior?

The Retro-fit Lid Kit is designed to upgrade the appearance of existing main drain fittings during pool renovations or resurfacing.
